Quick Start Guide - 01
For this Quick Start session we will follow the steps needed to create a book cover and
to achieve it's final representation in an internet friendly format ready
to be applied into a web site.

Before we start we need to go through 2 simple steps:
1. Entering the dimensions, that is, the width and height of our ecover.
2. Verifying our 3D Device is set up.
So, let's get started.
First, click on the File menu
-> Preferences... Then click on the 3D Environment Tab and 3D Configuration button.
After doing this, the 3D Configuration dialog box will be displayed. (see image below)

Here, we will focus on the window mode. The window dimensions
for the viewport size of the 3D Environment
are also the same in the final
3D representation and will be saved in this size. You can choose any value
you like
for example 400x400 or 800x800
This will be the size of our ecover in the 3D Environment.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next, let's just verify that your 3D Device is set up. You should see a 3D Device listed. For example, "NVIDIA GeForece3 Ti200" is listed in the dialog box above.
To set a 3D Device, simply click on the 3D Device combo. Make sure you
are using the latest drivers for your device and that it supports Direct
X 8.0.
Note: How do I check which graphic card is installed on my computer?
1. Right-click on any empty area of your Windows Desktop.
2 . From the shortcut menu, choose Properties.
3 In the Display Properties dialog box, click on the Settings tab.
The graphics card name is located under the Display label, which is under the image of the computer monitor. The display name references your type of monitor, first, followed by the word "on" and the name of the graphics card you are using.
For example: If your display name is "Plug and Play on RADEON X800 SE," then the graphics card you are using is "RADEON X800 SE ."
After you have decided the viewport dimensions you can click Ok to save
the changes. These changes will remain for other sessions.
